Company Challenges

When I first took on this HVAC company, their website had very limited visibility. Search Console data showed only 8 clicks, around 3,870 impressions, and a 0.2% CTR. Their average ranking position was 43, which meant they were buried in search results and failing to attract any meaningful traffic or customer inquiries. The business needed a complete SEO overhaul to generate leads and compete in the local market.

Project Overview

I began with a full SEO audit to identify technical barriers, on-page weaknesses, and missed keyword opportunities. The goal was to redesign their search strategy and build a stronger online presence so the company could capture more local searches and convert them into service requests.

SEO Strategies

My first step was fixing technical SEO issues, including crawlability problems, slow site performance, and indexing errors. Once the foundation was solid, I conducted comprehensive keyword research to uncover high-value local search terms.

Using those insights, I optimized and expanded the service pages, making sure each page had semantically rich content tailored to customer intent. To support long-term growth, I also built a content plan of blog posts and FAQs that answered seasonal and location-based queries, which helped increase topical relevance. Alongside this, I refined on-page elements like titles, meta descriptions, and internal linking to improve relevance and click-through rates.

Results

The improvements delivered remarkable growth over the last three months. Google Search Console shows total clicks rising to 1,450+, while impressions surged to 323,000+, a massive visibility boost. The site maintained a stable CTR of 0.4%, and the average ranking position strengthened to 19.2, showing that the website is now consistently appearing on the first two pages of Google across a wide range of keywords.

Google Analytics confirms the same upward trend. In the last 90 days, the website reached 2.9K total user,s a 196% increase compared to the previous period. Active users also grew by 196%, sessions climbed to 3.3K (up 167%), and page views hit 3.9K (up 131%). November showed the highest peak in traffic before the expected end-of-month dip.

Overall, the SEO strategy transformed the site into a fast-growing traffic source, with significant improvements in visibility, engagement, and search engine positioning.

This project showed how a structured SEO approach can completely transform a business’s online visibility in a short period. The HVAC company went from being practically invisible in search to competing strongly for local keywords that directly bring in customers.
