Company Challenges

The airport taxi service company was struggling with a very weak online presence. Before SEO work began, the site had only 6 clicks, just 722 impressions, and an average position of 62.9 in Google Search Console. With results that low, the company was invisible to potential customers searching for airport transfers, local taxi services, and related keywords.

Project Overview

My goal was to bring this service-based business into visibility for high-intent local searches. Since they relied heavily on people searching online for quick bookings, improving both their website rankings and Google My Business (GMB) visibility was critical. The project was structured around a four-month SEO campaign that combined technical SEO, content optimization, and local SEO enhancements.

SEO Strategies

I began with a complete audit to identify and fix technical SEO issues that were holding the site back. Once the foundation was fixed, I carried out detailed keyword research around location-based and service-focused queries such as “luxury Airport Taxi Service” and “Luton chauffeur service.” Using these insights, I optimized the service pages with clear, semantically rich content designed to capture customer intent.

Alongside on-page improvements like titles, meta descriptions, and internal linking, I worked on local SEO through Google My Business (GMB). This included optimizing the business profile with accurate service details, categories, and geo-focused keywords. I also encouraged consistent posting, updates, and reviews to improve GMB engagement. These steps ensured the company not only ranked on Google but also appeared in the local pack where customers book taxis directly.

Results

After just 4 months, the improvements were significant. The website’s clicks grew from 6 to over 2,900, while impressions soared from 722 to 686,000+. The site’s average position improved from 62.9 to 47.2, giving the company much stronger visibility in search results.

The GMB optimization also boosted their local presence, helping the company appear more frequently in the Google Maps/local 3-pack, which directly increased calls and booking requests. Even without analytics data, the Search Console and GMB performance metrics clearly showed that the company had moved from near invisibility to becoming a trusted option for airport transfers in their area.
